Overcoming Attachment to Outcome

Buddha said that attachment is the cause of all suffering.
Dr. Robert Glover adds that attachment is also the cause of all anxiety, and It can also be a slippery slope toward a loss of integrity.
As part of the Nice Guy covert contracts, they assign outcomes to their actions, even when the two are mutually exclusive. When they don’t get the desired outcomes, Nice Guys become resentful and passive-aggressive and switch to a victim mentality.
In this discussion, we will discuss ways Nice Guys become attached to outcomes in life and relationships that only serve to increase their suffering. We will also discuss ways to disentangle from such unhealthy attachments and live a life of integrity.
